A Glimpse into Jenna Bush Hager’s Private Life
During a recent episode of TODAY With Jenna & Sheinelle, Jenna Bush Hager, 44, shared an unexpected and somewhat awkward story about her husband, Henry. The conversation revolved around the importance of mattresses, particularly in the early stages of a relationship. Bush Hager admitted that when she and Henry were newlyweds, they would go mattress shopping together, and Henry would leave notes that she described as “nasty.”
The discussion was sparked by Brandi Carlile’s recent comments on buying new mattresses for her loved ones after earning money for the first time. Sheinelle Jones, Bush Hager’s co-host, explained how important it is to have a good mattress, especially during the early days of a relationship.
“When Henry and I first got married, we lived in Baltimore and walked down to the Mattress Giant,” Bush Hager recalled. “We bought the ‘celebrity.’ It was a Tempur-Pedic. It could’ve been the same one that Brandi has. Who knows…we put some money down, just the way she did. We paid it off.”

She then revealed that Henry would write notes on the mattress, which made her uncomfortable. “He would write things like, ‘Can’t wait to…’ That sounds weird,” she said. The audience laughed, and Jones encouraged her to finish the sentence.
“Well, just be in the ‘celebrity,’” Bush Hager insisted, clearly embarrassed.

Jones teased her, saying, “Womp womp. I thought it was like, ‘Can’t wait to…you know.’”
“No!” Bush Hager exclaimed. “I wasn’t being nasty. We love to be horizontal.”
Her co-host pointed out that her innuendos were getting more suggestive as the conversation continued. “Just by myself, I like to be [horizontal]. The ‘celebrity’ was a beautiful purchase, and two years ago, we said goodbye after 18 years. We loved that mattress…”

Bush Hager also mentioned that the mattress was called the “celebrity” for no clear reason, but they went with it anyway.
This isn’t the first time Bush Hager has given a peek into her personal life with Henry. On a previous episode of TODAY With Jenna & Friends, she revealed an unusual habit that turns her on.
“I was into c—-play,” she said.

When guest co-host Matt Rogers asked if it meant watching Henry do the dishes, Bush Hager confirmed it. “Like, watching Henry do the dishes gets you riled up?” Rogers asked.
She explained that it makes her appreciate him, which then leads to romantic moments. Rogers agreed, saying, “One-hundred percent. I feel like there’s nothing hornier than watching someone make a bed.”
Bush Hager added, “Coming home, it smells good, and you can tell things are intentionally put away.”
