Khloe Kardashian Claims Mom Knew All Along About Reality TV Trap

The Rise of the Kardashian Dynasty

Khloe Kardashian, one of the most recognizable names in the world of entertainment and business, recently opened up about the early days of her family’s journey into reality television. In a recent interview on The Morgan Stewart Show, she shared how her mother, Kris Jenner, played a crucial role in convincing her and her sisters to take part in what would become one of the most iconic TV series of all time.

Khloe revealed that when the opportunity came for them to star in Keeping Up with the Kardashians (KUWTK), she and Kourtney Kardashian were initially hesitant. “At first we were like, ‘We’re not doing this,'” she said. Her mom, however, had a different approach. “She said, ‘Think of it as a commercial for the store.’ That was the hook.”

This strategy worked, and the show eventually became a cultural phenomenon, running for 14 seasons from 2007 to 2020. It not only brought the family into the spotlight but also helped launch their various business ventures.

From Boutique to Business Empire

Before the reality TV success, Khloe, Kourtney, and Kim Kardashian had already started their own clothing boutique called Dash. However, the venture was far from smooth. Khloe admitted that they “didn’t know what the f**k we were doing” when they first opened the store.

“We had no employees. It was just me and Kourt. We did everything: the cleaning, the taxes, the steaming of the clothes. We had not one employee,” she recalled. The lack of experience was evident, and they struggled to keep the business afloat.

Despite the challenges, they managed to bankroll the flagship store in Calabasas using a $50,000 credit card issued to Kourtney by their late father, Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003.

Kim also spoke about the difficulties of running Dash, especially in its early days. She explained that the family had a history of not being able to pay vendors on time, which meant they had to pay for everything upfront. “We would pay just the minimum every month when the credit card bill would come,” she said. “This is probably the worst advice because you probably should be paying your credit card bill off, but we just didn’t have the money.”

A Legacy of Innovation

Today, the Kardashian-Jenner family has built an empire that spans fashion, beauty, and entertainment. Khloe, for instance, is the founder of the billion-dollar undergarment brand SKIMS. She also launched Good American, a denim brand known for its inclusive sizing, and more recently, Khloud protein snacks.

Kourtney, on the other hand, runs the lifestyle brand Poosh and has created a line of gummy supplements called Lemme. Meanwhile, Kim has expanded her reach with multiple beauty brands and continues to be a major force in the fashion industry.

The Road Ahead

After the conclusion of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, the family transitioned to a new docuseries titled The Kardashians for Hulu. This new platform has allowed them to continue sharing their lives while exploring new creative avenues.

As the family continues to evolve, their story remains a testament to resilience, ambition, and the power of family. From the early struggles of running a boutique to becoming global icons, the Kardashians have proven that success is often built on perseverance and a willingness to take risks.
