Kurt Angle’s Emotional Farewell to Brock Lesnar After WrestleMania 42 Defeat

Kurt Angle, a WWE Hall of Famer, recently shared a heartfelt message for Brock Lesnar following his loss at WrestleMania 42. In the post, he included a photo of himself and Lesnar from WrestleMania XIX in 2003, where Lesnar won the WWE Championship in the main event. Angle’s message was simple but powerful: “Love you, my brother. There will only be one like you. Enjoy retirement, Brock.”

Lesnar’s performance at WrestleMania 42 left fans stunned when he removed his boots and gloves during the ring, signaling what some believe could be his final match. The crowd responded with chants of “Thank you, Brock” as he embraced his longtime manager, Paul Heyman. While Lesnar has not officially confirmed whether this was his last appearance, fans are already speculating about his future in WWE.

Fans took to social media to express their admiration for Lesnar. One person wrote, “You guys made my childhood memorable. Thanks, Kurt Angle, and all the best to Brock Lesnar.” Another commented, “Two absolute beasts who brought out the best in each other every single time. That WrestleMania 19 match still hits different. Legend to legend — enjoy the farm life, Brock. It’s true, it’s damn true.” A third fan added, “Respect to a once-in-a-generation competitor. Brock Lesnar changed the game every time he stepped in the ring, pure power, intensity, and presence that few could ever match.”

While the jury is still out on whether or not Lesnar is truly retired, there is still one person on the WWE roster who wants a match against the Beast Incarnate. Gunther, who has already defeated Goldberg, John Cena, and AJ Styles, has had his eyes set on Lesnar for a while. The two men have yet to face each other in a one-on-one match.

“I think he’s got his hands full right now. But yeah, I can do it. He’s not around that much, and you don’t see him much, so I’ve got to do my intel,” Gunther told Complex.

Gunther also mentioned that he is owed a favor by Paul Heyman, suggesting that he might want a match with Lesnar, which would give the Beast at least one more match. “But maybe a guy who owes me that knows what Brock Lesnar’s plans are,” he said.

There were plans for Gunther and Lesnar to meet in the ring at WrestleMania 40, but Lesnar was pulled from programming due to being tied to Janel Grant’s lawsuit. Despite this, Gunther had a successful WrestleMania after he defeated Seth Rollins via submission on Night 1.
