Farès’ daughters, Cylia and Shana Chasman, shared a heartfelt statement with Agence France-Presse, expressing their deep sorrow. “It is with immense sadness that we announce the death this Friday of Nadia Farès,” they said. “France has lost a great artist, but for us, it is above all a mother that we have just lost.”

In a touching tribute posted on Instagram, Cylia reflected on the profound loss. “This is a heartbreak I will never get over. Every day I wake up and pray this is a nightmare and that you’re still with us. I know you fought your very hardest for your babies. Thank you. Thank you for fighting, thank you for giving me life, thank you for every memory, thank you for the laughs, for the cries.”

Nadia Farès began her acting career in 1990 with a one-episode appearance in the long-running French television series Navarro. Two years later, she made her feature film debut in My Wife’s Girlfriends, quickly gaining recognition as a rising talent in French cinema.

These included Tell Me Yes… (1995), The Crimson Rivers (2000), War (2007), Marseille (2016–2018), Luther (2021), and Toujours possible (2025).
