M&S revives Sparks rewards with exciting perks and instant savings

A New Era for M&S Sparks Rewards

Marks & Spencer (M&S) has taken a significant step forward in enhancing its loyalty program with the relaunch of the Sparks scheme. This updated version aims to provide a more personalized and rewarding experience for customers, particularly those who enjoy shopping at M&S for everything from groceries to fashion.

At the core of this transformation is the new digital Sparks wallet, accessible through the M&S app on your phone. This feature allows customers to earn rewards that can be used across any part of M&S, whether it’s for food, clothing, or other products. The system is designed to be user-friendly, offering clear incentives for spending.

For instance, if you spend £30 on women’s bags, you could earn a £6 reward. Alternatively, spending £8 on fresh berries might give you a £1 reward. Once these rewards are added to your digital Sparks wallet, they can be used for anything you purchase at M&S, making it easy to save money on your weekly shop or invest in new clothes.

Enhanced Offers and Partnerships

In addition to the standard rewards, M&S is introducing ‘buy and bundle’ offers. These promotions encourage customers to purchase selected items together to receive a reward. For example, buying a bra and knickers could earn you £5 into your digital Sparks wallet. This approach not only incentivizes larger purchases but also helps customers discover new products they may not have considered before.

M&S has also partnered with Virgin Red, marking the first ever collaboration for the Sparks program. This partnership opens up new ways for customers to boost their Sparks wallet. For example, booking a Virgin Atlantic Holiday could earn you up to £130 in rewards, while spending £20 on Virgin Experience Days could give you a £4 reward. These additional benefits make the Sparks program even more appealing.

Continued Perks and Benefits

Despite the changes, some of the original perks of the Sparks card remain. Customers will still enjoy free birthday treats, coffee stamps, and the opportunity to support charities. To date, M&S has donated £20 million to various charitable causes through the Sparks program. This commitment to giving back ensures that the program continues to have a positive impact on the community.

Sharry Cramond, Marketing Director of Fashion, Home & Beauty and Loyalty at M&S, expressed her excitement about the new Sparks program. She stated, “We are so excited to finally unveil the new Sparks – it’s a complete step change in how we reward our customers. We’ve built this around exactly what they told us they want: simple, personalised offers and real money rewards that drop straight into their very own digital Sparks Wallet to spend at M&S however, whenever and on whatever they choose.”

How to Join the New Sparks Program

If you’re already a Sparks member, there’s no need to take any action. You will automatically be moved over to the new scheme. However, if you’re not a member yet, you can easily join online. This process is straightforward and ensures that all customers can benefit from the enhanced features of the new Sparks program.

The new Sparks program empowers customers by allowing them to control their rewards and make the most of their shopping experiences. It encourages customers to buy the products they love while also providing opportunities to try new things and get rewarded for it.
