Inspired by Mahendra Singh Dhoni, he fully embraced the role of a wicketkeeper-batsman, combining both skills to become a versatile player.

After mastering the basics, Mukul moved to Jaipur to further his cricketing ambitions. He spent four years there, refining his skills and building a solid foundation. During this time, his interest in T20 cricket grew rapidly. He realized that to improve, he needed to play more matches. This led him to Delhi, where he stayed in Gurgaon for 3–4 months and played various games. These experiences helped him adapt to the fast-paced nature of T20 cricket.
Mukul’s hard work paid off when he gained recognition for his explosive batting in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025–26. He scored 173 runs in the tournament, averaging over 57 with a strike rate of 198.85. This impressive performance caught the attention of the Lucknow Super Giants, who bought him for 2 crore 60 lakh rupees, far exceeding his base price of 30 lakh rupees.
