Local trainer Brett Robb is set to make a strong presence at Sunday’s Dubbo meeting, with several of his horses in the running. Robb recently had West Head competing in the TAB Highway at Hawkesbury, where the horse finished in fourth place. On Sunday, he will focus on his home track with runners such as Corky, Prophet’s Lass, and Anders Diamond in the Elders Rural Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1000m).

Apprentice rider Izzy Neale, who carries a 1.5kg claim, will take the reins on Corky, while Jordan Quince, a two-kilogram claimer, will ride Prophet’s Lass. Georgina McDonnell will be aboard Anders Diamond.
“All three of them have a chance,” said Robb. “Corky has started twice and showed improvement when Izzy rode him the other day at Narromine, where he led and finished fifth. He should be better for the experience this time.
Prophet’s Lass is an unraced filly that came from Tony and Calvin McEvoy. She has had one trial since joining the stable, finishing in a dead heat win at Dubbo. She’s drawn well, and Jordan will stick with her after riding her in the trial.
Anders Diamond is a two-year-old colt making his debut. He’s facing older horses but ran third in the same trial that Prophet’s Lass was part of. He shows promise and could be competitive.”
Robb will also have two runners in the Totally Workwear Super Maiden Plate (1200m): Adamana, ridden by Clayton Gallagher, and Marinera, who will be handled by Neale.
“They are both recent additions to the stable,” Robb explained. “Adamana comes from Andrew Noblet and has placed three times in eight starts. She’s been performing well and I’m looking forward to seeing her in action.
Marinera has had one start since arriving from Bjorn Baker, where she led and finished second at Mudgee last month. She’s improved since then and is in good form.”
Georgina McDonnell will again partner with Robb when she rides My Kind Of Girl in the Robertsons Motorcycles Country Boosted Benchmark 58 Handicap (1400m).
“She won at Dubbo after a break and is ready to perform well again,” said Robb.
