Vogue Williams to Lead Dublin’s St. Patrick’s Day Parade, Honours Late Designer Paul Costelloe
The vibrant celebrations for St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin are set to have a special touch this year, with beloved Irish personality Vogue Williams announced as the Grand Marshal for the city’s iconic parade. The Howth native’s selection was revealed at a special event held at the Rotunda Hospital on Monday morning, marking her as a prominent figure in this year’s festivities.
Williams, known for her effervescent personality and keen sense of style, arrived at the announcement in a show-stopping pink dress. She later revealed to her followers on social media that the exquisite creation was designed by her dear friend, the late fashion icon Paul Costelloe. Costelloe, a celebrated figure in the fashion world, sadly passed away in London last November at the age of 80.
“I have to show you my dress,” Williams shared enthusiastically online, showcasing the stunning garment. “It’s Paul Costelloe… my lovely pal, Paul Costelloe. How amazing is that?” The dress is a piece from Costelloe’s ‘Boulevard of Dreams’ Spring/Summer 2026 collection. This collection is described as a vivid tribute to femininity, freedom, and the timeless glamour of 1967, drawing inspiration from Hollywood luminary Sharon Tate and the sun-drenched aesthetic of late-Sixties California.
The connection between Williams and Costelloe runs deep, with the designer having previously crafted the dress for her wedding to Spencer Matthews in 2018. At the time of her nuptials, Costelloe spoke with immense fondness of Williams, stating, “She was, as always, a joy to work with. She’s a beautiful woman, a credit to her generation and to Ireland.” It felt only fitting, therefore, that Williams would honour his legacy by wearing one of his designs as she prepares to lead the nation’s most significant St. Patrick’s Day parade on March 17th.

Speaking to Dublin’s Q102, the mother-of-three expressed her overwhelming excitement about her new role. “I’m absolutely delighted – probably the best job to get in Ireland,” she exclaimed. “I’m so excited; I can’t wait for the parade, I can’t wait for the run-up to it, I just can’t wait for everything around it. And to be watching from that viewpoint is going to be so special.” Williams anticipates the role will be a “nice glamorous job” where she’ll have the opportunity to “hang out with lots of lovely people.”
