Mohammed Siraj celebrated with great enthusiasm after taking the crucial wicket of young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi during the IPL 2026 league match between Rajasthan Royals and Gujarat Titans at Jaipur. The enthusiastic celebration from the Gujarat Titans fast bowler became a sensation on the internet after Siraj ended the threat posed by the Royals’ explosive opener, Sooryavanshi.
Chasing a target of 230, Rajasthan Royals started strongly at the Sawai Mansingh stadium, as the young Vaibhav Sooryavanshi showcased his power-hitting skills once again during the powerplay.
On the first ball that Siraj bowled to the right-handed batsman, Sooryavanshi hit the pace bowler for a towering six. However, the next ball brought some drama, as Vaibhav injured his right ankle while attempting to hit a yorker from the RCB pacer during the first over. Despite the injury, the young player continued to play with intent and showed remarkable determination.

After the incident, the young batsman decided to target both Siraj and Kagiso Rabada. The left-hander managed to score 36 runs off 16 balls, hitting three sixes and three boundaries. During his innings, he also set a significant IPL record.

After being hit hard by Sooryavanshi, Siraj decided to take a more aggressive approach and delivered a short delivery at a speed of 146.6 km/h. The speed caught Vaibhav off guard, and the mis-timed drive was sent into the air, where it was caught by Arshad Khan, ending the innings at 38/1 from 2.5 overs.
The moment was met with immediate celebration as Siraj screamed with emotion on his face, having taken the wicket of the young batter, making him the instant talking point of the match. Rajasthan Royals are still chasing 230 with their captain at the crease, but Gujarat Titans are well ahead in this match.
